Life with the Boys

At first I had a difficult time trying to decide what the title of my new blog should be, and then it came to me... I'm the only female in this house. I live with way too much testosterone. When I met my husband back in 1998, I had two dogs- Dexter & Samantha. Unfortunately, we lost both of our puppy dogs and have since then adopted two more- Maxx & Cooper (black labs) and along the way we were also lucky enough to have two beautiful boys- DJ & Jack. Unfortunately, we also lost our Maxx, and since then we adopted a male cat named Charlie. Are you beginning to see my fate of being the sole female? Don't worry though, I am doing okay with it. I am the one who seems to get the majority of the affection. You know how boys love their mommies...Lucky for me, and the dog & cat our my best buds too!

My fear is when my boys get older & discovery how little I know about sports. I believe I still have time to bring myself up to speed, however, my husband does very little to help me... usually just gives me the wrong answer or makes fun of me.

I am excited my oldest son DJ will be starting township soccer in April. I think he will be very good at it since he seems to have really good eye-hand coordination. Of course, being his mom makes me his biggest fan. I think it will be tough with games and practice and trying to keep his younger brother Jack on the sidelines. Jack wants to do everything his big brother does, but unfortunately he is too young.
It's getting late & I have a busy day tomorrow. I must get everything in this week, since I begin classes next week to reactivate my nursing license. Why I never paid that annual fee of $95 to keep my license is beyond me. Now I must pay the price of time & money to get it back. I know it will be worth it, but I can't say that I am looking forward to 6 weeks of nursing school all over again.
